Who are we?
Building Certified Green Homes since 2010, We are proud to be owned and operated in New Zealand.
We have our in house LEED and Homestar certifier. Monitored show homes. First company to build Green Home Integrated with Feng shui and Vaastu.
New Zealand’s  first company to build 10 star design rated home under Homestar Version 3.
Eco Green Homes recognizes that different customers have varying desires and value customizability; hence, we offer a spectrum of Green Homes options.

Milestones

2007

Kush Bhargava and Ram Bhargava joined New Zealand Energy Forum, a research organization to research and gain knowledge about how to make New Zealand houses healthy and Green. 

2010

Kush Bhargava and Nidhi Bhargava formed company Eco Green Homes in July 2010

2011

  • Built first of its kind Green house in Wellington using Vaastu/Fengshui design.
  • Fully Insulated foundation with edge insulation.
  • Use of super wall insulation first of its kind R6  wall SIP panel constructio.
  • German triple glazed windows used in 2011.
  • Automatic toilets and computerized shower units.
  • Use of colour changing taps as per temperature and powered by hydropower.
  • Use of cotton based paint.

2012

  • Built first passive house with R3.8 insulation achieved using concrete walls and polystyrene.
  • First time use of Floating foundation and Floating underfloor heating imported from Europe.
  • Triple Glazed with tilt and turn technology.
  • Achieved 8 star out of 10 star on Home Energy Rating System NZ.
  • Imported and installed worlds latest wall integrated radiation heating technology and installed underfloor heating on top of concrete with german technology.

2013-2016

  • Use of SIP panels with R value 3.8
  • Insulated edge insulation
  • 5% day light factor (compared to average 2.6)
  • Use of NZ first solar powered Velux skylight.
  • Achieved highest rating 5 Star ‘Lifemark’.
  • Use of triple glazed windows with Grade A Australian standard low e glass.
  • German technology laquer kitchen.

2017

Build –First house in New Zealand to achieve design rating 10 Star out of 10 ‘Homestar’ version 3 of New Zealand Green building Council.

2018 - 2019

Build first house in wellington which achieved 9 star on version 4.
